What is Pressure Sensitive label material?
An adhesive ("sticky') that develops maximum bonding power when applied by a light pressure only. Pressure Sensitive labels are on a removable web (lining).

What is a label applicator?
A stand-alone unit or a unit which can be used in-line. It has an unwind and a rewind and separates the pressure-sensitive label from the liner and applies the label to the product. Also known as "labeling head".

What is a Printer-Applicator?
An applicator which uses a thermal transfer printer to print variable information onto a blank label and then the label is applied to the product.

Does Quadrel provide labels?
Yes, Quadrel does provide Thermal Transfer labels and Thermal Transfer Ribbons. Most sizes are in stock for Next Day arrival if required.

What is a copy position?
A copy position refers to the direction a label is on the web (liner)

How many copy positions are possible?
Normally, there are 8 copy positions, OUTSIDE WOUND Copy 1 -Top Off; Copy 2-Bottom Off; Copy 3-Right Off; Copy 4-Left Off. INSIDE WOUND Copy 1-Top Off; Copy 2-Bottom Off; Copy 3-Right Off; Copy 4-Left Off.

How do I know what copy position of labels I will need?
It will depend on your specific label application. Please contact Customer Service to help you.

What does in-line mean?
The term in-line refers to the fact that the labeling function is performed on a straight section of conveyor versus a rotary labeling system. Installing a labeling system in-line refers to integrating a labeling system into a line performing other functions on the container such as filling and capping.
